Students must have enrolled on the master’s degree programme.
The aim of the course is for students to acquire professional and research knowledge in areas of specialisation within the world of translation and intercultural management. These areas are: audiovisual translation and accessibility, legal translation, scientific and technical translation, economic and financial translation, editorial and literary translation, intercultural management, and translation teaching.
The content related to professional aspects addresses translation skills and tasks, intercultural management and translation teaching, professional practice contexts, labour market circumstances, characteristics of texts in each area of specialisation, etc. In addition, intercultural management will address the positive management of interculturality applied to the professional, corporate and business worlds with the aim of preventing/avoiding what is known as multicultural failure and its possible negative consequences. In the field of translation teaching, in addition to the above, curriculum design will also be addressed. The content related to research offers an overview of academic reflection on the above-mentioned areas, i.e. the most commonly used theoretical and methodological approaches, the analytical tools used, the main existing publications and research groups, emerging trends and future avenues of research, etc.

Annotation: Within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

Reminder: "copying" is considered to be work that reproduces all or a large part of the work from one to another colleague, and "plagiarism" is the act of presenting part or all of an author’s text as one’s own, that is, without citing the sources, whether it is published on paper or in digital form on the Internet. Copying and plagiarism are intellectual theft and therefore contravene university regulations that will be sanctioned with a "zero" mark. In the case of copying between two students, if it is not possible to know who copied who, the sanction will be applied to both students. If there are several irregularities in the evaluation activities of the same subject, the final grade of this subject will be zero.
