University graduates.  Previous admission by the Master's coordination is required.


Objectives and Contextualisation

 

 

Elucidation of the problem of narrativity in the light of hermeneutics, phenomenology, philosophical anthropology and philosophy of language. Connection of these conclusions and approaches with the contemporary symbolic and cultural problem in the culture of the platform.
										
											
										
											In accordance with the instructions of the academic authority, the teacher will introduce the gender and class perspective whenever it is justified.

Competences

  • Analyse the impact of media groups' strategies of social communication with the aim of promoting new, participative forms of culture and communication.
  • Analyse the new forms of social communication introduced by ICT (information and communication technologies) in order to innovate in media and cultural production and solve the problems posed in the new environments.
  • Continue the learning process, to a large extent autonomously.
  • Lead and work in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Use acquired knowledge as a basis for originality in the application of ideas, often in a research context.

The development of the subject will be based on the combination of lectures by the professor, seminars based on shared readings and the writing of two essays tutored by the professor. 
										
											
										
											Students will participate in the class debate based on the classroom readings and will be able to do voluntary work to be analyzed and corrected by the professor. 
										
											
										
											The detailed calendar with the content of the different sessions will be displayed on the day of the presentation of the subject and will also be available on the Virtual Campus of the subject, where students will be able to find the various teaching materials and all the information necessary for the adequate follow-up of the subject. In the event of a change in teaching modality due to force majeure according to the competent authorities, the professors will inform of the changes that will occur in the programming of the subject and in the teaching methodologies. 
										
											
										
											The content of the subject will be sensitive to aspects related to the gender perspective and the use of inclusive language.

Annotation: Within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

The evaluation will consist of classroom work and two essais (writing tests), distributed throughout the course. as follows:

 

 1. dissertation or literature review about 15,000 characters with spaces on a book or topic of the first weeks of the term capital for the subject, proposed by the teacher (40% of the final grade).

 

2. Dissertation or bibliographic review about 15,000 characters with spaces on a book or topic of the second part of the term, capital for the subject, proposed by the professor (40% of the final grade).

 

3. Class attendance and participation in seminars (20% of the final grade).

 

 

 

Grade review: approximately 15 days after the delivery of each of the tests, the professor will hold a grade review session, in which he/she will listen to the students' observations.

 

 

 

Recovery process: students will be able to opt for the recovery of the course, in case it has been failed, provided that they obtain, at least, an average grade of 3.5.

 

Students will be entitled to the recovery of the subject if they have been evaluated of all the activities, the weight of which is a minimum of 2/3 of the total grade of the subject.

 

 

 

NOT EVALUABLE

 

If the student does not hand in both partial assignments even if he/she has done the classroom participation work, he/she will not be evaluated.
