Assessment

Continous Assessment Activities

Title Weighting Hours ECTS Learning Outcomes
essays and text comments 30% 30 1.2 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 3, 8, 7, 9, 12, 11
exams 70% (35 and 35) 3 0.12 10, 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11

The evaluation activities will be scheduled during the academic year. Students will be informed well in advance of the dates for the in-class tests and for the submission of text comments and reviews. In this sense, at the time of each assessment activity, the teacher will inform the students (Moodle) of the procedure and the date for the revision of grades.

The schedule of the assessment tests may not be modified (except in exceptional and justified cases). In the same way, Erasmus students who request to advance an exam must present the teacher with a written document from their home university justifying their request.

The evaluative evidence will be broken down into: A) one or two exams which will be worth 50% of the final mark (and must be passed in order to pass the course as a whole) B) a paper which will be proposed by the teacher and which will be worth between 30% and 35% of the final mark. C) A text commentary or practical that will be worth 20% or 15% of the final grade.

The student will receive a grade of ‘Not evaluable’ provided that he/she has not handed in more than 30% of the evaluation activities.

In the event that a student commits any irregularity that may lead to a significant variation in the grade of an assessment act, this assessment act will be graded 0, regardless of any disciplinary proceedings that may be instituted. In the event of several irregularities in the assessment acts of the same subject, the final grade for this subject will be 0.

Single assessment

This will be based on three activities consisting of a paper and two written exercises, which will represent 50%, 25% and 25% of the final grade. It is recommended that students continue to attend class even if they take the single assessment. The same recovery system will be applied as for the continuous assessment.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

The use of artificial intelligence in the classroom and in the work outside the classroom will be restricted to the search for and elaboration of information. Under no circumstances can it replace the student's work.
