Students of this subject must be in possession of a bachelor's degree in which they have acquired the basic knowledge and skills that empower them to attend the master's program: basic training in Spanish Language and Literature or related disciplines, management of bibliographic instruments and mastery of the Spanish language that allows them to write papers in scientific Spanish.
The objective of this module is to analyze the basic concepts of the Spanish language, ELE and Hispanic literature so that students can deepen, starting from them, in the study of the various areas covered by the master's program. Likewise, the module will provide students with the necessary resources so that they can, individually, use them to document themselves and / or gather a body of work in each of the topics studied during the master.
The contents are organized in three basic blocks:
BLOCK 1: ELE. Relations between linguistic theory and ELE teaching methodology since the twentieth century. Main methodological orientations in ELE in the XXI century.
BLOCK 2: SPANISH LANGUAGE. Main problems posed by the scientific study of the Spanish language in the twentieth century.
BLOCK 3: LITERATURE. Main currents and authors of Spanish-written literature, in Spain and in Latin America.

In the three parts of which the subject consists, expository activities will be carried out on the main points of the program.
Students will also carry out a series of activities directed by the teachers, dedicated to problem solving and organized debates on certain relevant points of content.
Finally, students must carry out autonomous activities of study and elaboration of the works under evaluation.
Annotation: Within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

The evaluation of the subject will be carried out by calculating the average grade of the three works that students will have to complete:
1) An ELE block work
2) A LANGUAGE block work
3) A LITERATURE block work
EVALUACIÓN ÚNICA: Los profesores ineicaran, el primer día de curso, la fecha en la que los alumnos acogidos a esta modalidad de evaluación deberán e¡ntregar las actividades que serán las mismas que deberan realizar los alumnos de evaluación conitnuada dado que las competencias que deben demostrar que han adquirido son las mismas en todas las modalidades.
The teachers of each block will indicate, on the first day of class, the specific bibliography that will be used during the development of the program.
