Docent methodology will be lectures, practices and field work.

At the beginning of the course, the teacher will explain the protocol of measures and good practices for field trips.

Annotation: Within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

Assessment

Continous Assessment Activities

Title Weighting Hours ECTS Learning Outcomes
Ecological state assessment 25% 0 0 CM06, SM31
GIS practice 10% 0 0 CM06, SM31
Project 40% 0 0 CM06
School curriculum plan/project 25% 0 0 KM38

The evaluation of the subject will be based on the following evidence:

  • GIS practice (10%)

A specific case to be carried out with GIS is presented: Finding a body of water and associating and calculating the percentages and/or surface of its uses and land covers. Export this map with topographic base and orthophotomap.

  • Assessment of the ecological state (25%)

There will be a field trip to the Besòs or Tordera basin where the students will have to make an assessment of the ecological state of a specific stretch of river. The teaching staff in the theoretical part will provide tools so that the students themselves are in charge of making their own assessment.

  • Preparation and execution of a school curriculum plan/project (25%)

The students will have to develop a didactic unit aimed at a specific audience (primary, secondary and/or citizenship education). In this didactic unit you will have to demonstrate tools so that the target audience is familiar with some topic related to river spaces and their management in order to create environmental awareness of the territory. Each group must prepare and execute its didactic unit or project as a class group.

  • Group work: Conflict planning (40%)

Group work: the students, in groups, will have to search for a problem related to water planning and management, detect the main actors involved, identify the problems and create a series of solutions that can be applied to to which the majority of the actors involved benefit from it. This work will be divided into an oral presentation (20%) and a written work (20%).

Evaluation criteria

Deliveries received outside the period stipulated in the Virtual Campus will be considered as "Not Presented", except in duly justified cases.

In the event that two of the evaluable activities havenot been presented or have been suspended (grade below 5), students may opt for a make-up exam. The final mark after the make-up exam cannot be higher than 7. Students who want to choose to raise their mark can also present themselves, in no case will it mean a reduction of the mark they already have.

Not Assessable

Students will receive the grade of "Not assessable" as long as they have not delivered more than 30% of the assessment activities

Review of grades

At the time of carrying out each assessment activity, the teaching staff will inform the students (Moodle) of the procedure and date of review of the qualifications.

Unique assessment

This subject does not provide for the single assessment system.
