Objectives and Contextualisation

-  Teaching methods, principles of differentiated instruction, teaching  tools and ICT

-  Communication, engaging learning environments, motivation and wellbeing of pupils.

-  Organizing and developing pupils’ academic and social learning environment

Competences

Learning Outcomes

  1. Assessing the value of actual social situations that occur in the immediate social environment, and encouraging responses to these situations that promote respect for human rights.
  2. Explain the explicit or implicit code of practice of one's own area of knowledge.
  3. Propose projects and actions that are in accordance with the principles of ethical responsibility and respect for fundamental rights and obligations, diversity and democratic values.

Content

The international practicum (I.P) consists of 10 days of school placement: a teaching observation period and a brief intervention in class.
The students will work in groups and collaborate during the IP. During the intervention days they will work with assignments, given by the lecturers of the semester programme.
The host school will faciliate the students to a  tutor teacher at the school, who will be responsible for providing feedback on the progress and performance of the students during the school placement.

- Observe teaching practices and the learning of the pupils with the purpose of developing his/her teaching.
- Engage in dialogue with pupils and colleagues about adjusting teaching and learning activities and ensuring the active participation of the
pupils.
- Establishing and developing a clear, positive framework for developing pupils’ learning and the social environment in the classroom.
- Create and maintain good working relations with pupils, colleagues, parents and other relevant stakeholders at the school and to reflect on
the importance of relational work to the pupils’ learning and well‐ being at school.


Methodology

The methodology is based on the premise that students may be active on their learning process.

Annotation: Within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

Assessment

First day of class will be indicated the work to pass the subject. Copying or plagiarism on an examination or work will be considered a 0 at the activity.
