Prerequisites

Student needs to be studying or have completed the credits of the speciality in Psychosocial and Community Intervention.


Objectives and Contextualisation

  • To theoretically ground the approaches used for the analysis of a psychosocial intervention.
  • To define the potential consequences of a psychosocial intervention from different perspectives.
  • To develop ethically responsible behaviour with people, groups, and organizations involved in a psychosocial intervention.
  • To rigorously analyse empirical material obtained through a psychosocial intervention process.
  • To organize the results of a psychosocial intervention into a coherent and accurate report.
  • To actively and purposefully participate in psychosocial intervention teams.

Learning Outcomes

  1. CA27 (Competence) Present the results and findings of a psychosocial intervention by adapting it to different audiences and formats.
  2. KA26 (Knowledge) Theoretically and argumentatively define the procedures for the analysis of a psychosocial intervention.
  3. SA23 (Skill) Define the potential actions that would be the result of the analysis of an intervention process based on different psychosocial intervention perspectives.
  4. SA24 (Skill) Develop ethically responsible behaviour towards the people, groups and organisations with whom one comes into contact during social intervention.
  5. SA25 (Skill) Analyse the empirical material obtained from the work placement process based on rigorous epistemological and methodological principles.
  6. SA26 (Skill) Organise the results of an intervention into a coherent and accurate report, appropriate to the psychosocial field.
  7. SA27 (Skill) Participate with ideas and appropriate contributions to the working teams in the work placement centre concerned.

Content

External internships are conducted at centres that engage in psychosocial intervention activities. The students will be a part of a project conceived by the centre, engaging in professional endeavours aligned with the goals of the intervention and applying the skills acquired in the master's degree.

The duration of the internships will range from 200 to 225 hours, depending on the partnership agreement.

Annotation: Within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

Continuous assessment activities consist of:

  • An individual written report that will include an analysis of the practices carried out, as well as the student's field diary.
  • The centre tutor report comprises an assessment template comprising both quantitative and qualitative aspects of the student's performance during the internship.
  • The UAB tutor report includes an assessment of the academic learning of the student during the internship.

Single evaluation procedures are not contemplated as this is an external internship.
