It is advisable to have completed the previous subjects in the itinerary (A1, A2a, A3a, A3b).
Objectives and Contextualisation
- Understand the theoretical foundations and practical bases underpinning information gathering systems in order to implement them in the study and approach to social reality.
- Acquire the theoretical and practical foundations for the selection and use of methodological resources aimed at obtaining information in contemporary social psychology.
- Learn the practical skills involved in information gathering procedures and how to operate them appropriately to consistently meet the needs and conditions of a particular context and purpose.

Content
In this course, mandatory for the specialisation in Research in Social Psychology, students will learn to carry out fieldwork specific to their subject of study, based on the previously designed research objectives. In this course, therefore, the practical use that students make of the methodologies studied in previous subjects is examined, such as discursive and narrative methodologies, ethnographic methodologies, or research with groups and communities. Additionally, skills for the systematisation of the collected empirical material are developed.

● Analysis of qualitative information gathering processes: discursive and narrative methodologies, ethnographic methodologies, and action research.
● Principles and procedures for the systematisation of the information gathered through the different research techniques.

Teaching methodologies may combine the following forms of work: seminars, individual and group tutorials, preparation and development of reports, collection of empirical materials, reading of articles and/or reports of interest, and personal study.
Annotation: Within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

a) Assessment conditions
To pass the subject, all learning outcomes linked to the acquisition of the various competencies, knowledge, and abilities covered in the subject will be taken into consideration. Specifically, it is essential that the student completes:
1. Ev1: Supervised learning activities (outside the classroom) (50%): presentation of the results of fieldwork and pre-analysis of empirical material (individual activity submitted virtually in writing).
2. Ev2: Face-to-face teaching-learning activities (in the classroom) (30%): presenting issues related to the collection and analysis of empirical material, reflecting on possible solutions (individual activity presented orally in the classroom).
3. Ev3: Student follow-up (outside the classroom, 20%: Supervision of the final project of the subject with the tutor and the achievement of the learning outcomes of the subject. This includes the planning of the final project, the review of the draft and the review of the final version (in all cases provided that they are submitted at least ten days before the deadline set in the virtual campus). This assessment will be carried out by the tutor and is worth 20% of the course.
The final grade will be the sum of the weighted results of evidences 1, 2, and 3.
A student who has submitted learning evidences (one or more) with a weight equal to or greater than 4 points (40%) cannot be recorded as "not evaluated."
b) Submission/completion of evidences:

d) Single assessment
When the student opts for single assessment, the procedure will be as follows: All subject contents will be assessed on the date of submission of Evidence 1. On that day, a team oral presentation (Ev2: 30%) will be conducted with other students who have chosen this single assessment, discussing challenges related to the collection and analysis of empirical material, and reflecting on possible solutions. This presentation will be evaluated according tothe criteriaestablished for Evidence 2.Additionally, the written work of Evidence 1 (Ev1: 50%) will be submitted in the virtual campus classroom.
