Antes de inscribirse en el curso, se espera que los estudiantes hayan completado con éxito las asignaturas de su tercer año académico.
El curso se recomienda a los estudiantes que estén interesados en la lectura y en la participación en debates relacionados con la poesía y el teatro en inglés que exploran la representación y la memoria de los principales conflictos bélicos del siglo XX.
El curso estipula además que los estudiantes deben poseer un nivel C2 de competencia en inglés, según el Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas: Aprendizaje, Enseñanza, Evaluación. Una competencia C2 implica que los estudiantes pueden comprender sin esfuerzo prácticamente todo lo que leen o escuchan. También asume que tienen la capacidad de consolidar información de diversas fuentes orales y escritas, reconstruir hechos y argumentos, y presentarlos de manera coherente. Además, implica que los estudiantes pueden expresarse de manera espontánea y fluida, con la capacidad para discernir los sutiles matices de significado incluso en situaciones altamente complejas.
La edición 2023-2024 de "Poesía y Teatro en Inglés" se centrará en el estudio de dos géneros específicos: la poesía y el teatro de guerra. Se prestará especial atención a temas relacionados con la ética, la política, la memoria e incluso la experiencia física de la guerra.

Nota: se reservarán 15 minutos de una clase dentro del calendario establecido por el centro o por la titulación para que el alumnado rellene las encuestas de evaluación de la actuación del profesorado y de evaluación de la asignatura o módulo.
