Objectives and Contextualisation
This training program responds to the need for security professionals specialized in the comprehensive management of civil protection services or, in general, corporate safety-related risk prevention, planning and management of emergencies and plans of self protection.
Specifically, with regard to public safety, the acquired knowledge prepares the student to carry out tasks developed by Civil Protection technicians that include both a profile of the administration of the Generalitat (technicians of the General Directorate of Civil Protection and guard technicians of the Center of Operational coordination of Catalonia) and of the local and / or county administration (municipal or county civil protection technicians to lead civil protection in its fields of action and which are based on the coordination of everything related to the prevention, planning and emergency intervention).
With regard to private security, the acquired knowledge prepares the student to develop activities related to the self-protection plans of any activity that generates risk or maybe is an vulnerable element.
The different blocks in which raining program is divided describe and detail the subject of civil protection based on the current legal regulations.
The training objectives are the following:
- Knowing the basic civil protection regulations and apply it to practical cases.
- Define the concept of risk and its associated concepts.
- To know the different methodologies of risk assessment.
- Understand and extrapolate the basic actions associated with the stages of civil protection.
- Knowing the types of civil protection plans.
- Know how to determine the basic structure of content of a civil protection plan.
- Prepare and draft a civil protection plan (of the Generalitat and municipal).
- Prepare and write a self-protection plan.
- Understand the concepts associated with the activation of a plan and the situations associated with its management.
- Knowing how to draw appropriate conclusions based on a practical case related to the management of emergencies.

Methodology
Teaching language: Catalan
The methodology will consist in the teaching of theoretical and practical classes with the active participation of the students.
In the theoretical part we will consolidate the acquired knowledge of the regulations and the development that affects the Civil Protection and the Emergency. Some classes will be scheduled with specialized personnel.
In the practical part, the student will work with practical cases related to Civil Protection and Self-Protection Plans. A visit to the Center for Operational Coordination of Catalonia, CECAT, will be scheduled.
The tutorials with the faculty will be organized by email.
Annotation: Within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

Assessment
Continuous evaluation
The continuous evaluation consists of the completion of different exams, exercises and assignments that allow to obtain up to 10 points.
There will be two continuous assessment tests (PAC1 and PAC2). Each PEC has a weight of 25% of the final grade.
To be able to add the different scores and to take the validation test, it is essential to fulfill the following conditions:
Remove a grade equivalent to 5 out of 10 in the PECs, and only in one will be accepted the equivalent of a 3.5/10.
The final test will consist of the realization of answering topics of the subject and related to the content of the PECs with a weight of 50%.
In case of not passing the course according to the criteria mentioned above (continuous assessment), a recovery test may be held on the date scheduled in the timetable, which will deal with all the contents of the program.
In order to participate in the recovery the student must have been previously evaluated in a set of activities, whose weight is equivalent to a minimum of two thirds of the total grade of the subject. However, the grade that will be recorded in the student's transcript is a maximum of 5-Approved.
Students who need to change an evaluation date must submit the request by filling out the document that can be found in the EPSI Tutoring moodle space.
Single evaluation
The students who opt for the single evaluation will take a final test of all the content of the subject (50%) and will deliver the two PEC's (25% each pac).
The date of this test and the delivery of the PEC's will be the same scheduled in the schedule for the last exam of the continuous evaluation.
The same recovery system will be applied as for the continuous evaluation.
Evaluation of students in the second or more call
Students who repeat the subject must take the scheduled tests and exams and deliver the PEC's for the subject on the dates indicated in the Moodle classroom.
Recovery exam
Students who do not pass the subject, who do not reach 4.9 (total) out of 10, in accordance with the criteria established in the previous sections, may take a final exam provided they have evaluated in a set of activities that is equivalent to a minimum of two thirds of the total grade for the course. If you have not been evaluated by these two third parties because you have not taken the tests or delivered the PEC'S, you will obtain a rating of Not Evaluable as established by the EPSI Evaluation Regulations, without having the possibility of taking the final recovery exam. .
In this exam, the set of contents of the subject that have not been passed in the continuous evaluation will be evaluated again.
In the case of passing the final exam, the subject and/or delivery of the work is approved with a maximum of 5, regardless of the grade obtained in the exam.
Changing the date of a test or exam
Students who need to change an assessment date must submit the request by completing the document found in the Moodle space for EPSI Tutoring.
Once the document is completed, it must be sent to the teaching staff of the subject and to the Degree Coordination
Revision
At the time of carrying out each evaluation activity, the teaching staff will inform the students of the mechanisms for reviewing the qualifications.
For single assessment students, the review process will be the same.

Other Considerations - Plagiarism
Without prejudice to other disciplinary measures deemed appropriate, and in accordance with current academic regulations, "in the event that the student does any irregularity that may lead to a significant variation in the grade of an evaluation act, they will be graded with a 0 this act of evaluation, regardless of the disciplinary process that may be instituted.
If during the correction there are indications that an activity or work has been carried out with answers assisted by artificial intelligence, the teacher may complement the activity with a personal interview to corroborate the authorship of the text.
If there are unforeseen circumstances that prevent the normal development of the subject, the teaching staff may modify both the methodology and the evaluation of the subject.
