Coneixements basics de Genètica
Proporcionar als alumnes una visió global i actual de les tècniques, fonaments i aplicacions de la Genòmica Vegetal i introduir-los en la Biologia de Sistemes de les plantes. Els objectius específics inclouen la comprensió dels següents aspectes: la diversitat i complexitat dels genomes vegetals, les tècniques emprades habitualment en els estudis de genòmica, transcriptòmica, proteòmica i metabolòmica i les aplicacions a la millora genètica de les plantes de conreu. Us de les matemàtiques per el modelat predictiu mitjanant d'integració de diferents dades -omiques
Biologia de sistemes: conceptes, metodologia i estudis de casos utilitzant múltiples omiques. El cas d'estudi serà l’aparició d’una nova malaltia que afecta i mata totes les varietats de tomàquet. Els estudiants realitzaran un viatge a través de totes les -omiques per descobrir la causa i buscar una solució científica viable per a la seva aplicació en la millora de plantes de cultiu.
Concretament:
Utilitzarem aplicacions pràctiques de mètodes i tècniques en fenòmica i genòmica vegetals, incloent l’ús de marcadors moleculars en la millora vegetal. Importància dels QTLs en aquest problema.
Anàlisi i aplicació de dades derivades dels estudis de genòmica i de transcriptòmica per limitar el problema.
Anàlisi i aplicació de dades derivades dels estudis de proteòmica, interactòmica i metabolòmica per trobar una solució al problema.
Anàlisi integrativa del cas de l'estudi aplicats, inclosa la modelització computacional, per a la millora de plantes de conreu.
