The subject will focus in the first place on drawing a conceptual and theoretical approach to the question of the use and management of natural resources and the debate on the limits of growth. Next, two central topicsrelated to resources will be discussed in depth: the management of the water cycle and the planning and management of resources and energy systems.
1. The natural cycle: Hydrological system and Energy systems: Definition, components and requirements
2. The social and territorial aspects of natural resources: water and energy
3. Commodification of resources, water and energy
4. Resources and conflicts
5. Planning and management of energy systems
6. The change of model

The methodology is based on:
Directed activities, carried out in the classroom (theoretical and practical lessons) and field trip
Supervised activities consist of tutorials and supervision of the tasks assigned
Autonomous activities, based on reading, studying and carrying out the tasks assigned by the professors
Annotation: Within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

The evaluation of the subject is done based on: exam, practices and final report. The weight is distributed:
Exam: 35%
Practical exercises / possibly oral presentations: 30%
Final report: 35%
The final mark will be based on the weighted average of the three activities, but: you must have passed the exam and the practical exercises, otherwise the subject will be failed. It will be necessary to respect the delivery dates of the works established by the professors.
Revision of marks
At the time of each assessment activity, the teacher will inform the student (Moodle) of the procedure and date of review of grades.
Recovery
You can retake the exam and practice exercises (not oral presentations, if they are done). Unable to retrieve final report.
Not assessed
Those who have not submitted the exam or the final report are considered non-assessable. Activities not delivered will have a mark of zero (0)
Morever:
1. In the event that the tests cannot be carried out in person, their format will be adapted (maintaining their weighting) to the possibilities offered by the UAB’s virtual tools. Homework, activities and class participation will be done through forums, wikis and / or discussion discussions through Teams, etc. The teacher will ensure that the student can access it or offer alternative means, which are available to them.
2. The copying or plagiarism of material, both in the case of work and examinations, constitute a crime that will be punished with zero to the activity. In case of recidivism, the whole subject will be suspended. Remember that a work that reproduces all or most of the work of another classmate is considered a "copy". For its part, "Plagiarism" isthe act of presenting all or part of a text by an author as his own,without citing sources, whether on paper or in digital format.
