El módulo tiene por objetivo general acercar al estudiante a los siguientes contenidos, de manera crítica y siempre a partir del análisis directo de las fuentes textuales, iconográficas y arqueológicas y de la lectura de bibliografía especializada y actualizada:
1) Historia de Egipto desde los orígenes hasta fines del Reino Antiguo, a partir de la interpretación de las fuentes arqueológicas, iconográficas y textuales y prestando especial atención a los fenómenos histórico-religiosos.
2) Geografía y geología descriptiva del antiguo Egipto.
3) Arqueología descriptiva del antiguo Egipto: materiales, técnicas, yacimientos, urbanismo, arquitectura en adobe, arquitectura en piedra, arqueología funeraria, cultura material (cerámica, industria lítica, metalurgia, objetos de la vida cotidiana).
4) Historia del arte egipcio (estatuaria, pintura y relieve) y técnicas para la interpretación y datación de la obra de arte egipcia.

Cada una de las tres materias que componen el módulo se evalúa de manera independiente. En la tabla, los porcentajes corresponden a la evaluación de cada materia. La nota final del módulo resulta de la media ponderada de las notas finales de las tres materias.
