No hi ha prerequisits.
El mòdul té com a objectiu general apropar l'estudiants als continguts següents, de manera crítica i sempre a partir de l'anàlisi directe de les fonts textuals, iconogràfiques i arqueològiques i de la lectura de bibliografia especialitzada i actualitzada:
1) Història d'Egipte des dels orígens fins a finals del Regne Antic, a partir de la interpretació de les fonts arqueològiques, iconogràfiques i textuals i parant especial atenció als fenòmens històricoreligiosos.
2) Geografia i geologia descriptiva de l'antic Egipte.
3) Arqueologia descriptiva de l'antic Egipte: materials, tècniques, jaciments, urbanisme, arquitectura en tovot, arquitectura en pedra, arqueologia funerària, cultura material (ceràmica, indústria lítica, metal·lúrgia, objectes de la vida quotidiana).
4) Història de l'art egipci (estatuària, pintura i relleu) i tècniques per a la interpretació i datació de l'obra d'art egípcia.

Cadascuna de les tres matèrias que componen el mòdul s'avalua de manera independent. En la taula, els percentatges corresponen a l'avaluació de cada matèria. La nota final del mòdul resulta de la mitjana ponderada de les notes finals de les tres matèrias.
Per superar el mòdul cal superar l'avaluació de cadascuna de les tres matèries que el componen.
