Students will do the Internship in Companies (public or private) or in Institutions
(Research Centers and / or University Departments). The aim is to introduce the students to the professional
world that they will find in the future, whether they want to take a PhD or to work in a Company. In this way we
hope that they will be able to find out what they want to do once they finish the Master's program.
There are no theoretical contents for this module.

Students who have taken this module (it is not compulsory, but it is highly recommended), will meet with the
Master's Coordinator at the end of October or in November to discuss their preferences regarding particular
Companies and/or Institutions. Then, the University will contact the Centres in order to get an authorization for
the student to do the Internship. In the Virtual Campus of the module it will appear a real list of Companies and
Research Centres which we have already sent students of this Master in past years.
It is necessary to sign an agreement between the University and the Company. This procedure is done with the
help of the Science Faculty, because in fact, who really signs the agreement are the Dean of the Faculty of
Sciences, the designed person of the Centre and also the student. The document clearly states the name of
the tutor appointed by the Company, the Academic tutor in the university, the dates and the working plan.
Since the module has 12 ECT's, the total amount of hours is 300.
Annotation: Within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

The assessment of this module is made taking into account two items:
The first one is a report done by the tutor appointed by the Company, which consists in filling out a form
evaluating certain aspects of the work done by the student. The mentioned form will be available in the
Virtual Campus. The designed tutor has to send it to the student or, if he/she prefers, to the Coordinator
The second one is a descriptive report written by the student, explaining what he/she has been doing in
the Company/Research Centre. The report should be between 6 and 12 pages. Below an outline for if it
is useful to you.
- Personal data
- Dates of your stay in the company.
- Company data. Tutor assigned by the company.
- Explanation of the nature of the company.
- Team work you have worked.
- Make a concrete description, and detailed tasks performed during your stay in
the company.
- Evaluation of the work undertaken with the knowledge and skills acquired in connection
master studies.
- List of problems encountered and the procedure followed to solve them.
- Evaluation of personal work and suggestions.
- Evaluation of personal experience and suggestions.
Both documents have to be delivered to the Virtual Campus of the module before 30th of June.
