Students wishing to enrol in Work Placement I must complete a preinscription with the faculty. Details concerning the preinscription will be available on the faculty website. (https://www.uab.cat/web/estudiar/graus/graus/informacio-1345722449027.html).
Failure to pre-register results in the impossibility for the course Work Placement I. Students will only be assigned an internship position if they have pre-registred within the established deadline. The pre-enrolment of students takes into account the prioritization of five places offered. Places are allocated on the basis of the average marks on their student's transcript.
The student must have passed all first year subjects and obtained a total number of 120 credits from their first three years of study.
The student must be enrolled in the course and have signed the agreement before starting work with the collaborating institution.
The timetable for carrying out the internship must be compatible with the student's academic and training timetables in the University. The programme of internship activities will be laid down according to the characteristics and availability of the collaborating institution.
Since students enrolled in the internship will have obtained credits in basic training and mandatory second and third year subjects, it is expected that they will express themselves correctly both orally and in writing.
The course requires a level of English C2 (Proficiency) (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment).

In both cases it is required that the student takes out an insurance policy covering civil responsibility and liability, given that the standard student insurance is insufficient. In order to validate this complementary policy contracted by the UAB, the student must pay a fee at the time of enrollment (estimated price: €6).

The specific training offered depends on the professional activity of the collaborating institution.
In the same way, the results of learning will vary depending on the specific skills acquired during the practicum.
Students have to do at least two tutoring sessions (in person or virtual) during the period of the WP. The tutor is responsible to complete a brief report on these two sessions (model provided by the Dean’s Office).
Annotation: Within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

As part of the training activities (Training for workplace insertion) in the assessment for Work Placement I, students must fulfil these two requirements:
Dates for delivery of this report are: 17/02/2025 for first semester internships, 07/07/2025 for second semester internships.
The academic tutor in the relevant field of study will evaluate the internship.
IMPORTANT
In the event of a student committing any irregularity that may lead to a significant variation in the grade awarded to an assessment activity, the student will be given a zero for this activity, regardless of any disciplinary process that may take place. In the event of several irregularities in assessment activities of the same subject, the student will be given a zero as the final grade for this subject.
Irregularities refer, for instance, to copying in an exam, copying from sources without indicating authorship, or a misuse of AI such as presenting work as original that has been generated by an AI tool or programme. These evaluation activities will not be re-assessed
Any relevant bibliography will be provided by the internship tutors according to the tasks the student is expected to perform.
