Objectives and Contextualisation

This module gives students the opportunity to complete 250 hours in a public or private institution linked to European issues. It aims at developing practical implementation of the theoretical knowledge on EU matters by participating in real cases and tasks.

Competences

  • Analyse, synthesise, organise and plan projects and assignments related to the area of study.
  • Communicate and justify conclusions clearly and unambiguously to both specialised and non-specialised audiences.
  • Integrate knowledge and use it to make judgements in complex situations, with incomplete information, while keeping in mind social and ethical responsibilities.
  • Use acquired knowledge as a basis for originality in the application of ideas, often in a research context.
  • Work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Work in professional environments that involve contacts with EU institutions and/or policies.

Learning Outcomes

Content

- 250 hours of traineeship in a public or private institution.

- Completion of the final report explaining the conducted tasks.

Methodology


The conduction of the traineeship  could undergo some modification depending on the restrictions that the sanitary and academic authorities impose.

Each host institution will determine the specific content of the traineeship to be carried out and its methodology.

During the month of November a meeting will be arranged, detailing the vacancies for trainees, detailing the content of the tasks and the required profile for candidates (including language skills).

Annotation: Within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

Assessment

 At the end of the traineeship, students will submit a final report explaining the tasks performed. This report and the supervisor's report will determine the final grade for this module.
