Knowledge of economics and European integration.
Achieve a detailed knowledge of:
- economic integration at European and international level.
- European Union policies related to the economy.
- the new European economic governance.
The module begins with the economic theory of integration and the theory of optimal monetary areas.
It follows an analysis of the European Economic and Monetary Union, the internal market and the decision-making of the European institutions.
The different sessions of this module study EU policies: from competition policy to foreign trade policy, to internal policies, agricultural policy, regional policy and social policy.
The monograph presents the euro crisis, Euro-imbalances, Union initiatives such as the structural reforms Europe 2020, the Junker Strategic Investment Plan, the procedures on macroeconomic imbalances, the European Semester, the mechanisms of financial stability and rescue , advances in sustainability and competitiveness, Europe's challenges in terms of productivity, employment and aging, as well as social cohesion in the Member States of the Union.
