Have knowledge about art history, heritage, museology and museography
Subject designed to give knowledge and tools to students towards the management of cultural heritage in general and artistic in particular.
Learning objectives of the subject:
1. Categorize and know the functions developed by each of the professionals involved in the management of artistic heritage.
2. Facilitate elements that lead to reflection on models of management of artistic heritage in the current social context.
3. Posing ways to solve possible problems that may arise in the development of professional activity, within the scope of the management of artistic heritage: curators, technicians, managers and mediators.
4. Introduce basic notions of advertising and communication.
Learning outcomes
Introduction to the analysis of the models of historical-artistic heritage management from the end of the 20th century until today. Basic information on the management of cultural heritage is offered at each of the different levels of public administration and in the different areas of the private sector. Legal principles are disclosed to apply the best management model in each case. This course is structured to give students tools to develop a critical and analytical spirit.
The theoretical classes of line and online will be combined with practical examples. The procedures and protocols to be followed in the management of the historical-artistic heritage will be described based on the official documentation required in our country. The student will work in a group on a management project proposal, which must be presented and defended orally in an online class, depending on the health situation in which we find ourselves.
BLOCK I
1. Introduction. Definition of concepts. Reflections on the management of artistic heritage in the current social context of the 21st century. Instruments for the protection of cultural assets: inventories and catalogs.
BLOCK II
2. Historical-artistic heritage management. Legal competences of the different public administrations. Policies and models of management of cultural heritage. Product creation, communication, marketing and advertising. Exploitation of rights and markets.
BLOCK III
3. Financing models. Subsidies Crowding. Contracts-program.
The type of teaching, depending on the health situation at the time, will be of line or online and the students must carry out continuous work throughout the course. The dossier of readings, the online tutorials, the exercises, the group work and the videos with experts will serve to direct the learning of the contents and the competences.
The teacher Teresa Blanch Bofill will make available to the students materials of the subject to develop some debates and initiatives of general participation.
Annotation: Within the schedule set by the centre or degree programme, 15 minutes of one class will be reserved for students to evaluate their lecturers and their courses or modules through questionnaires.

Continuous assessment. Percentage of each part:
10%: Participation in online and online classes and tutorials with video calls.
40%: exercises written in questionnaire format.
50%: Group work.

* During the reevaluation period, there is only the possibility of repeating a written exam type test and only a maximum score of 5 points will be eligible.
* Any particularity or exception to these regulations must previously receive the teacher's approval.
* On carrying out each evaluation activity, lecturers will inform students (on Moodle) of the procedures to be followed for reviewing all grades awarded, and the date on which such a review will take place.
* Students will obtain a Not assessed/Not submitted course grade unless they have submitted more than 30% of the assessment items
